Empowering Youth: The Success of the 2026 Gangwon Regional Talent Recruitment Festival

Published March 26, 2026

The recent 2026 Gangwon Regional Talent Recruitment Festival held at Sangji University has garnered significant attention for its impactful support of youth employment. Organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, this event brought together 42 organizations to provide tailored recruitment information and personalized consultations, making it a vital resource for young job seekers.

Participants were able to engage in various programs, including recruitment presentations, a new employee talk concert, NCS mock exams, and mock interviews. These hands-on experiences allowed attendees to navigate the actual hiring process, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for their job search. As Jang Yu-jin, the head of the Gangwon Innovation City Development Support Center, stated, the initiative aims to systematically support local youth in preparing for public sector employment.

Looking ahead, such initiatives are crucial in enhancing employment capabilities among young people. What other innovative programs could be introduced to further support youth in their career journeys?
